About Us
Alongside a career in costume for the stage and screen that has spanned over twenty years, I am now beginning a new phase of a journey that channels the knowledge and skills I have gained from my career in costume, into creating and running a unique bespoke costume studio that caters for private and commercial clients.
Having established Imaginarium Costumes in 2016- a creative costume studio, pop up and online shop specialising in quality festival fashion, dance and party wear, I am moving forward into a different aesthetic. Aspiring to design and create pieces closer to my roots in theatrical costume design and inspired by my passion for historical and contemporary couture without abandoning the sense of fun, playfulness and self expression that festival and party costuming evokes.
My aim is to design and create beautiful, exquisitely made garments that blend the more fantastical and elaborate elements of costume with wearable fashion. And to always maintain a focus on flawless fit, quality materials, beautiful embellishments and detailed hand finishing.
Imaginarium offers a bespoke custom design and making service allowing the client and myself the opportunity to collaborate to create the made to measure costume envisioned. I always strive to provide outstanding, personal customer service and I am dedicated to helping you create the costume you desire so that you will feel beautiful, confident and amazing. Alongside this service, I also plan to offer a capsule collection of unique one off and made to order designs. I am in the process of designing and making this collection and aim to launch in 2025. My background and ongoing career as a professional costume designer, supervisor and maker in the entertainment and performance industries ensures that I clearly understand the needs of commercial clients such as costume designers, performers and production companies. Custom Costume Design
Having your costume designed and made especially for you is a uniquely meticulous process. We will work closely together to bring your costume ideas and dreams to life, ensuring a truly personalised creation.
At our studio located in Melbourne, you will play an active role right from the initial design consultation to the final stages of fittings, ensuring a seamless journey towards the creation of your unique, one-of-a-kind garment.
Collection
I am in the process of designing and making my first collection for Imaginarium and aim to launch in 2025.
The collection will consist of unique, one of a kind pieces, both one off and made to order pieces.
The focus will be on high quality, beautiful, handmade garments that blend the fantastical and elaborate elements of costume with beautiful, wearable garments.
Stage & Screen
Costume Design, Supervision, coordination and making for the theatre, film & television industries.
I have designed and supervised productions for a wide variety of productions, including opera, ballet, contemporary dance, musical theatre, contemporary and period drama, mass participation events, feature film and television.
I have worked on productions in the UK, USA, Canada, India, Israel, Spain, Monaco, France, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
I have worked with many internationally recognised, prestigious companies including The Royal National Theatre, The National Youth Theatre, Warner Bros, Fremantle Media and the BBC.
